Albania seeks consolidation of Balkan conquests

Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha said Monday that the time has come to consolidate territorial acquisitions that ethnic Albanian extremists made throughout the Balkans, although in a statement today Berisha is denying he said that and instead claims that Albania and the Kosovo Albanian separatists seek EU membership.
Berisha now says the “national ideal of the Albanians is the European ideal.”
Ethnic Albanian separatist extremists are in control of the Serbian Kosovo province and the western portion of the FYRO Macedonia whose renaming into Iliria is being delayed.
In both regions, ethnic Albanians are settlers that have since 1980s taken up to the struggle to acquire the territory for themselves. Many of them are illegal migrants.
Kosovo Albanian separatists have protested to the FYRO Macedonia for pointing to the history of their presence in those regions and told the Macedonia government that they should not “seek to make enemies”.
Fragile peace persists in FYRO Macedonia.
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed great concern on Monday over the recent statement by Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha about a need for a unification of all Albanians.
At the press conference after his meeting with Serbia’s Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, Lavrov pointed out Belgrade’s consistently constructive position and a non-constructive attitude of the authorities in Pristina concerning the situation in Kosovo reports Tanjug.
